Punchbowl Cottage is a traditional cottage which has recently been renovated, retaining its quirky character and extended to include a self-contained, compact "private wing", exquisitely furnished, and available for bed and breakfast.

The cottage comprises a beautiful bedroom upstairs in the eaves with a new king-size, supremely comfortable, cast iron bed, covered by a Damask patchwork quilt. Soft lighting soothes the room and plenty of books, magazines and cushions create a pleasant and relaxing ambiance. Downstairs, there is a living room with a large feather and down sofa, an open peat burning fireplace, soft chairs, dining area, more magazines, books and cushions and a combined multi channel TV and video. Of course, there are tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits and, last but not least, a corkscrew! Adjacent to the living room is a lovely shower-room. There is also another small bedroom available, again with king-size cast iron bed and French quilt, so two couples travelling together would be catered for extremely comfortably .

We are situated in South Cork, in unspoilt, rolling countryside, with distant sea views, in an area as yet unknown to thousands of visitors to East and West Cork. Within the immediate locality, are safe sandy beaches, half a dozen great pubs which also serve local and traditional fare, wonderful walks, riding, sailing, sail boarding, golf and clay bird shooting. Kinsale, the famous port and gourmet centre, is ten miles to the west. Cork airport, Cork City and the Swansea-Cork ferry are less than half an hour's drive and there is easy access to the gorgeous scenery of East and West Cork.
